e-commerce…Not just for retailers
INTRODUCING PLAN “E”
Using the power of the internet, many service businesses can generate an additional income stream using E-commerce. You never know when a pandemic or fierce storm can cause you to lose income. As we learned in 2020, we should be pro-active and prepare a plan for multiple streams of income!
With some “out-of-the-box” thinking, small businesses can discover how to be proactive to generate income through complimentary products or services. Check out these examples of how various service industries can add e-Commerce to their business plans.
I’m a service provider.
What Can E-Commerce do for me?
E-Commerce may not work for all service providers but there are some who can benefit from giving customers the ability to purchase from you online. For example:
Be pro-active by setting up training classes online to educate other stylists on upcoming trends or consider selling your products online. Or set up workshops to teach upcoming stylists how to design a shop. All this will show your customers that you are a leader in your industry.
Consider using e-commerce to host a course to educate people on home buying. Charge for the webinar or create several small webinars covering different home buying topics and charge a lesser fee to get your valuable information. This is also a great marketing tool to show your expertise.
You can make your services more convenient for your customers by setting up Blocks of Time allowing your customers to choose packages that give them the opportunity to retain your services when they need them. Or you can give them the opportunity to download resources or set up a paid online consultation instead of an office visit.
